Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has commenced the construction on the company’s new Technology and Logistics Centre at Bognor Regis, UK.

The 30,000m2 centre expected to be operational in early 2016, will consolidate current logistics functions including inbound warehouse for production parts, a distribution centre and a workshop for car preparation which will also facilitate future expansion.

The Logistics Centre is located close to Rolls-Royce at Goodwood, West Sussex and is near to the upcoming Bognor Regis Northern Relief Road.

Rolls-Royce Director of Manufacturing Frank Ludwig said: "I am delighted that construction of our Technology and Logistics Centre is now well underway.

"The development reflects not only the sustainable growth and ongoing success of our business, but also our investment into the future of manufacturing here in West Sussex."

The luxury car maker also said that it will give further details of the new Logistics Centre in 2015.
