1. Brief Introduction to Stainless Steel Piston Rod

The product surface is specially ground and is processed by hard chromium plating technology, and then it is mirror polished, with characteristics of friction resistance and corrosion resistance. The piston rods can be used as guide rods and post rods for all kinds of air cylinders, oil cylinders, packaging machines, woodworking machines, textile machines, printing and dyeing machines, die-casting machines, injection molding machines, and other machines, etc.

 

Stainless steel piston rod has high corrosion resistance, strength and wear resistance to keep high-efficiency operation. It can be applied to the circumstances subject to oxidization.

2. Specifications of Stainless Steel Cylinder Rod

304 stainless steel is the most common form of stainless steel used around the world, largely due to its excellent corrosion resistance and value. It contains between 16 and 24 percent chromium and up to 35 percent nickel—as well as small amounts of carbon and manganese.

 

In comparison with 304 stainless steel, 316 steel has lower content of Cr, and higher content of Ni and Mo (2%-3% higher), thus it has higher corrosion resistance and is applicable to chemical and seawater environments.

 

Grade 630 stainless steels are martensitic stainless steels that are precipitation hardened to achieve excellent mechanical properties. These steel achieve high strength and hardness following heat treatment. The heat and corrosion resistance of grade 630 are similar to that of grade 304 steels. This grades is also commonly referred to as grade 17-4PH.
